Membership

Benefits

  • Members of an Antwerp diamond bourse undertake to unconditionally comply with a number of federative and international regulations, as well as with a Code of Conduct. This commitment through membership provides them with a label of quality, authenticity and trust.
  • Becoming a member means joining a community of colleagues, an ideal way of building a network within the sector, locally and internationally.
  • Members have the opportunity to conduct their business activities in the secured building of the Diamantclub van Antwerpen.
  • The Diamantclub offers a wide range of services to its members, such as the provision of  computers in its exchange hall, the use of an M-screen and a Sherlock Holmes device, a video & photo service for diamonds, colour stones and jewellery, a postal service, the rental of offices and safes, etc.
  • Members have access to the exchange halls of all diamond bourses worldwide that are affiliated to the World Federation of Diamond Bourses.
  • Whenever trade disputes occur between members, the parties envolved can appeal to the weekcommissioners for mediation (Weekcommissioners are members of the Board of Directors mandated to take on this task according to a weekly rotation). If no agreement can be found, arbitration proceedings can be initiated in the Arbitration and Reconciliation Council of the Federation of Belgian Diamond Bourses, an officially recognized Belgian court system within the diamond sector.

Conditions

  • Candidates agree to submit to and abide by all rules and regulations in force and to act according to the Code of Conduct.
  • Candidates have a minimum of two years of experience in the diamond field and must be recommended by two members who have been affiliated to the Diamantclub for at least two years. These two members are deemed to be well aware of the moral and financial reputation of the proposed candidate.
